Every round, SHA-512 of the server seed, the client seeds of the first three players to bet, the round number and a drand beacon picks one week from — real BTC weeks. You see the server seed's hash before betting and the seed itself after the round. The drand round is published only after betting closes, so nobody, the house included, can know the week while bets are open.
